Through thunderstorms and droughts
our flowers
never once ceased to bloom.
Each petal persisted in radiance,
in colour, shimmering vibrance,
awaiting the day the sun would dawn again.

And although such beautiful War is impossible to capture
through a camera,
through a lens only preserving a mere moment,
a frame of one’s story,
this camera will still display how after battle
she is still here.

She is still blooming with life.
