A new undertaking of mine in 2026 - one of my chief inspirations has always been the fantasy mode: literature, film, and the like. Not to be confused or synonymous with the genre of ‘fairy tale’, which is a beautiful artform in of itself, fantasy ironically stems from human’s inability thus attempt to fully comprehend change, the inevitable, trauma or sorrow in the real world. I have always seen the physical act of photography as an escape from my life and turmoil yet simultaneously, it grounds me and teaches me to express colours in my head I didn’t even know existed, without embarrassment, the world as I see it, in a manner I don’t think would ever see daylight had I not come stumbled upon the practice. My work is tangible evidence of my growth. So, the fantasy project is an ode to fantasy, to the art of light, and everything I have and will become.
